The Sixth Region Awards Program recognizes service, achievement, and other contributions above and beyond that normally expected. It is separate from the AUSA National awards covered in the AUSA Chapter Operations Manual (COM), § IX.B.

Also, it is separate from and is not a substitute for Chapter level awards. Each Chapter should have its own awards program in accordance with COM § IX.D. In general, Sixth Region awards are intended to recognize contributions with impact beyond the Chapter level.
